Last week the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) committee voted (16 – 6) to confirm Acting Secretary John King’s nomination as Secretary of Education. The Nomination now moves to the floor of the Senate for a vote. The full Senate will take up Dr. King’s nomination Monday March 14 at 4 pm with the vote expected at 5:30 pm.
