Today, Senator Tom Harkin Chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee approved the nomination of Michael Yudin to serve as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), within the U.S. Department of Education. James Cole Jr. was also confirmed alongside Yudin to serve as General Counsel for OSERS.
Harkin praised the two nominees stating, “Michael Yudin and James Cole are highly-skilled, well-qualified nominees to the Department of Education, and I am pleased that the HELP Committee approved their nominations today. Both Mr. Yudin and Mr. Cole will support the Department’s mission to strengthen and improve our country’s educational opportunities, and help ensure that all students have access to a quality education.”
CEC Congratulates both Yudin and Cole as they go before the full senate for a final approval vote.
