Tonight, President Obama will deliver the first State of the
Union (SOTU) address of his second term.
Today, Washington is abuzz with a single question: What big issues will the
President address? Certainly, we all expect President Obama to talk about the
prominent issues of late – budget troubles, gun control, school safety and
immigration, but will he address education more broadly? Will he talk about
full funding for IDEA?
Tell President Obama What You Think Is Important!
Immediately following the SOTU, several presidential advisors will be “open for questions.” Roberto Rodriguez, Special Assistant to the President for Education Policy, will address the issues related to education and join a team of advisors from the WH in a live, virtual Q&A. During this special “Open for Questions” event, Rodriguez and others will answer questions submitted by citizens via Twitter (using the hashtags #WHChat & #SOTU), Google+ and Facebook, as well as from the in-person audience of White House Social participants.
