Applications are now available for awards for Technical Assistance Centers to Support Implementation of Evidence Based Practices. These awards will help State education agencies to improve educational opportunities and success for students with disabilities in grades K-12 as part of the program entitled Technical Assistance to Improve Services and Results for Students with Disabilities. The purpose of this program is to provide technical assistance to promote the educational achievement of students with disabilities through model demonstration projects, information dissemination and implementing scientific research based practices.
The Centers which receive these awards will assist State education agencies by providing supports for improving the educational opportunities for students with disabilities in the following ways:
- Help develop, maintain and fund an implementation system and supports that will improve the effective use of evidence based practices
- Provide assistance in building evaluation systems and training models for professionals in using evidence based practices

I realize that budgets are tight for everyone, but the more funding/awards that are available for the kids, the better.
