This week, the White House will be hosting a series of state-specific conference calls to discuss the budget proposal recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives and led by Budget Committee Chairman, Paul Ryan (R-WI). CEC opposed the Ryan budget because it would likely result in a $2.2 billion cut to IDEA and significant cuts to other education programs. Read more on this from CEC’s Policy Insider Blog.
