Nominations are now open for the 2012 U.S. Presidential Citizen’s Medal. This award is one of the nation’s highest civilian medals and serves to recognize heroes in our communities across the nation. The award honors those Americans who are making a substantial difference in the lives of their fellow citizens. For over 40 years, this medal has provided the opportunity for individuals to nominate someone who has demonstrated exemplary service to their country or their fellow citizens.
